Springtime Shenanigans at Cavell Gardens

It's hard to think of the past couple of months as being 'springtime', seeing as the weather has been the best that a West Coast summer could offer. At Cavell Gardens we have made hay whilst the sun has been shining to take advantage of a number of local outings and to utilise our outdoor space.

Mexican Fiesta - GM Michelle [moustachioed] and Food Services Manager Carlos on Margarita duty!

Margaritaville - a.k.a: our Courtyard Garden
Siesta time!

The fabulous thing about our location is the numerous eatery's along Main street. Our residents have been taking advantage of the opportunity a mid morning walk incorporated with a lunch or snack along the way. Bellagio's Gelato on Main street  is the perfect location and popular choice for these outings as is The Last Crumb Coffee Shop .
This month July we will be exercising both our legs and mandibles on some local walking/lunch outings to The Fish Cafe in Kerridale, The Dharma Kitchen on West Broadway and The Dockside Restaurant on Granville Island. Best of all we have our Ambleside Salmon Picnic planned for July 21st. I will be sure to update you on that at a later date! Enjoy the sunshine and stay hydrated!

Warning: Living at Cavell Gardens will result in the onset of Laughter Lines.

Happy Canada Day Everyone!

Happy Canada Day 2015 Everyone!

Weather has been SO warm recently that we unanimously agreed that our traditional July 1st parade down Main Street be cancelled this year. Instead we opted to take advantage of the morning cool of our Courtyard Garden to gather together for a morning coffee Quiz [Canadian trivia of course!] followed by a sherry toast to this wonderful country we call home and to sing a rather splendid rendition to 'O Canada' accompanied by our very own in-house accordion player, Finn.
